A Visit To SIRIM

Yesterday I was given the opportunity to visit one of the SIRIM building which located in Shah Alam. I was actually accompanying my mom there and it was a great way for me to broaden my knowledge on the matter.

We were going to the Packaging Department to asked about the relevant information on setting up new product. My mother needs to gather as much information possible on how the packing could be since they will be setting up a new small industrial business for the local community in my area. (Sound big I must say)

They (the organization) was thinking of creating some products and requesting assistance on the packaging in order to be able to sell it onto the local market. Here is where SIRIM steps in to help. They (the SIRIM) will provide as much help on the packaging as well as quality control of the products.

The budget needed is quite a lot. So my mother will now need to discuss more with her fellow members on how to proceed with the matter. I on the other hand just lucky to gain new experiance and knowledge.

My god. You really need a lot of money to set up a business. Just the packaging itself could cost you ten of thousands of ringgit per product. Imagine the money needed for the rest of the things on a finished product.

Vein Vs Vain

I don't really know what to do right now. I just feel like giving up with both the medicine and the doctor. Until when should I endure this headache. I mean come on. Haven't the doctor figure out what is wrong with me?

It always the same answer from them. Migrain. Migrain. Migrain. If it were true. How come the medicine that I had been taking didn't work on me at all and only make it worse. We had been changing medicine and doubling the doses for so many time already. I am not a guinea pig. At least give me something you can move forward with.

The doctor only treat the symptom but not the cause. So what the point if it keep making me suffer the pain. Yes, again I know a lot more people suffer a lot more worst than I am but I am talking about me now. I don't think people could imagine how painful it is. I always put a smile on my face so people won't know about it. (Pretending is always the best than gaining sympathy right?)

I always being quiet in my room all the time but the fact is I was actually trying to hide the fact that I am in pain. (Thats why my mother always scolded me.) I had to take the painkiller silently but it is also no use at this point. It doesn't work anymore.

All I wanted is to be as I used to be again and to be able to start working. For how long more?

Exotic Bali

Travelled date: 2nd April 2010 - 4th April 2010.

Day 1
It was my first time to be on the Bali Island. I always fly down here to Bali but only to fly back an hour after transiting at the airport. So technically I could say it was my first time to actually be exploring the island.

It was really a last minute plan. I didn't plan to go to Bali at all. I received a call from my friend asking me if I wanted to join them for the trip. At first I was unsure if I could go but then again since it is on weekends I said yes.

The next day I packed my bag, go to the airport, buy the flight ticket instantly and straight away check in for the next available flight. It was really a rush and I almost forgot to bring along my passport. Half way through only I remembered I did not have it with me only to make me return home to retrieve it.

The flight time was 3 hours and with a half an hour delay due to the airport closure, I reached Bali at 7pm. The next thing to do is to go and find my friends. Bali road is very small and the amount of car on the street is a lot. So you can imagine how bad the traffic was in the evening. It took me 45minutes to reached the hotel which on normal circumstance would only took about 15minutes of drive.

Since it already dark, we just grab dinner and have a walk along the Kuta beach. I don't really like the place. It is too crowded and over polluted. Too many cars, people and horses on the street. So I don't feel Kuta is a good beach to relax. We had no choice as my friend would say since all the hotels are fully book due to the holiday season.

Day 2
We started our journey early to watch the cultural folklore dance. It cost us 80000 rupiah each for the show (A liitle to expensive). I had seen it before at Jakarta but since everybody is watching, I just go along with it. It lasted for almost an hour and I can say it was ok. [RM1 = IDR2600]

A memorial was next in our agenda. However, by the look of the old and ancient building, none of us dare to go in. We afraid it might be haunted. (Even it was daylight).

We were then brought to the higher part of the island - Mount Kawi. We were told that the volcano is still active and by the look of the lava spot it does looked convincing. It is very far from Kuta. So along the way, we stopped by at the art shop to buy some painting and also snapped a few pictures at the paddy field on the hill side at Tegallalang. It was really beautiful. We were warned by our driver not to buy anything from the road since they will cheat you and force you to buy it.

Had our lunch with the view of the volcano. It was really beautiful. Unfortunately for us, the weather was not on our side. It stared to rain heavily. So we had to cut our trip and straight went to the Holy Spring. It is a temple and the people believe that the water could heal any sickness. It is a underground spring water. Here also where all of us bargain for our souvenir the cheapest unbelievable price we could get. Seriously, you have to be really good at bargaining or otherwise you will be paying a higher than a normal price. Just an example, what ever price they give, just offer them to pay 20% or lower from the marked price.

It was getting dark and we all were getting tired, so we decided to head back to the hotel to rest and continue the journey again on the next day. For me, I will be flying back, so I won't be joining them anymore.

We all went for dinner and I brought some last minutes shopping before headed back to the hotel. The rest of my friends continue their night with clubbing at Legian street. They said it was amazing. By the pictures they took, I do believe.

Day 3
Sadly for me it is time for me to fly back home. So packed my bag and me and my friend head to the airport. They were sending me first before going to Tanah Lot and some other places they missed on the previous day.

It was a good trip going with fellow friends but I think the next time I would be staying a little bit further from the city area. Bali might be known for their unique culture but over crowded with traffic and tourist made it undesirable for me to visit. It is very cheap there though.

Blog World

I have been blogging since the year of 2006. I still use the same platform as I use today which is blogger. I find it easy to use and interesting.

I have a couple of blog which some of it I had to turn it into private blog due to the sensitivity and severity of the blog itself. I don't want to create any false statement or misunderstanding between my friends. It has happened before and believe me its ugly.

Right now I only making this blog as simple as possible. I just want to get my message cross. No fancy banner. No giant pictures. So people can just come and straight away read what I have to offer.

Don't ask me if you want to read my private blog. It is after all private. So I won't allow people to read it except to the selected few.

Thank you for visiting and do keep on reading my blog. I know its a little bit boring as I don't really know how to type with bombastic words. =)

Up Up And See You On Monday

If you are reading this, I might be already on board the flight or on my way to some exotic island. I am too tired doing all the work. Since my parents are away for their holiday, I had to take over everything they left behind (I think I mention this before somewhere). I mean everything. I wonder how they manage to do all the work their whole life and I just started doing it for two weeks and already feels like a torture.

Nonetheless, I am flying away for the weekend retreat to Denpasar Bali, Indonesia with my fellow friends. My brain already overload and since I am also recovering from my sickness I need to run away from all this problem totally. I mean all of it must be far far away from my eye sight and go see the nature (like I don't have enough tree at my house here :p).

So see you on Monday I hope. Bye.=)

Post Sriptum: Sorry Iggy, Bali IS nearer compare to Sydney.

Needle Pain Not

I hate needle. Still I need to get the vaccine. It's free after all. I asked the nurse and she said if I were to go out and get it myself, the vaccine would cost me RM220. Such a tiny bottle could cost so much.

As a needle hater myself, I would try to talk myself out of it. I don't like the feeling of that thing poking inside of my arm. The nurse reassure me that they are using a number 25 needle which is very small. I tried number 22 needle before and I know how it feel.

I said to myself, "What the heck. Since I'm here already might as well do it."

It was painless. The injection I mean. The vaccine effect only start to show after 30 minutes. They gave me Panadol just in case I have fever in this one or two days. Now if only they told me I could have fever. I thought only numbness at the arm. Still can feel it.

So far so good. Nothing serious yet. I hope it stays that way. Oh ya. The vaccine is actually for H1N1 and since my job requires me to travel a lot, it a must for me to take it (willingly and not by force - consent signed).

I Can't Stop Talking Can I?

I have getting back to the old me. I think I start to talk crap all over again. I know I just keep on talking and talking and talking non stop. I seriously have a problem here. I like to talk. I talk with happy and casual tone even if that person is way more superior than I am. I don't feel intimidate at all by their rank (which I should). There, a problem right?

When I was sick. I rarely talk. Most of the time I would just stay quiet and do my own work to myself. Lately, I myself noticed that I cannot stop talking. I am not sure if this is a good sign or a bad sign.

One thing for sure, I normally don't have filter for my mouth. So I would just say what I feel like saying. I don't really realize that sometimes I might hurt the people I am talking to.

I need to zip it and try to be me when I was sick. The one that keep quiet and don't talk much or talk crap. So everyone will be happy from hearing all the nonsense from me. Stop talking will ya.
